Emily Procter

 American actress Emily Mallory Procter was born on October 8, 1968. She played Ainsley Hayes in the NBC political drama The West Wing (2000-2002; 2006) and Det. Calleigh Duquesne, CBS's detective procedural drama CSI: Miami 2002-2012



 



 Early life



 Procter was born on October 8, 1968. As a child, she was adopted by William Procter (a general practitioner) and Barbara Jones (a volunteer worker). She was raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was only three years old old when her parents separated. Whit is her older brother and is also an adopted child.



 



 Procter graduated from Ravenscroft School in Raleigh. While studying at East Carolina University, she joined the Alpha Delta Pi sorority and was a weather anchor at WNCT-TV , in Greenville, North Carolina, then graduating with degrees from dancing and journalism.
